General Election Dates

Oct 16: Early voting at Election office. Absentee Ballots mailed.

Oct 21: Pre-Registration and Absentee Request by Mail Deadline

Nov 2: Polk County Election Office open.

Nov 4: Last day to vote early in person.

Tuesday, November 5: Election Day.

Polls open 7:00 am - 8:00 pm.

Absentee Ballots must physically be in the Polk County Election Office by 8 PM (postmarks do not count) or surrendered at polling location

Absentee Ballots by Mail must be received by 8:00pm.

Our district - newly reconfigured in 2022 - covers northern and eastern Polk County, and includes:

- 18 Precincts

- Primarily Bondurant and North Polk school districts, while including land in 10 other districts

- All of these municipalities: Alleman, Bondurant, Elkhart, Mitchellville, Polk City, Runnells, Sheldahl, while including land in 6 other cities
