Early Satellite Voting
There are a variety Satellite locations in Polk County where you can vote early -- between October 22 and October 26. The day(s) and hours of each Satellite Location varies, so view this PDF to see details. Some good options for HD45 are the Altoona, Ankeny, and Johnston libraries.
Tuesday, November 5: Election Day.
Polls open 7:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Absentee Ballots must physically be in the Polk County Election Office by 8 PM (postmarks do not count) or surrendered at polling location
Absentee Ballots by Mail must be received by 8:00pm.
Our district - newly reconfigured in 2022 - covers northern and eastern Polk County, and includes:
- 18 Precincts
- Primarily Bondurant and North Polk school districts, while including land in 10 other districts
- All of these municipalities: Alleman, Bondurant, Elkhart, Mitchellville, Polk City, Runnells, Sheldahl, while including land in 6 other cities
